East Stroudsburg University Foundation is pleased to announce it has received a $3,000 grant from the PPL Foundation. These funds will support the East Stroudsburg University Department of Hospitality, Recreation, and Tourism Management’s inaugural Hospitality Summer Camp Experience.

Hospitality Summer Camp Experience, planned to be held July 9-14, 2023, will provide 35 high school juniors and seniors with an opportunity to learn about careers in the hospitality field through hands-on experiences at various tourist locations in the Pocono Mountains and surrounding areas. The PPL grant will help lower the cost of the camp for students.

“We are excited to go to our local school districts this year and start recruiting students for this camp,” said Sylvester Williams, J.D., dean of ESU’s College of Business and Management. “The Hospitality Summer Camp Experience will give these students educational opportunities at ESU and networking experiences with our corporate partners in the hospitality industry.”

The PPL Foundation awards annual grants through a competitive application and review process.
