East Stroudsburg University Seeks Research Participants

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders of East Stroudsburg University is seeking participants for a research study on the effects Rheumatic Disease can have on hearing, cognition and language. Patients with Inflammatory Arthritis or Rheumatic Disease including but not limited to Psoriatic Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Scleroderma, Ankylosing Spondylitis, MCTD, Lyme disease, Crohn’s Disease, Fibromyalgia, or Systemic Lupus Erythematosus are invited to participate.

Approved by the ESU Institutional Review Board for Research (IRB), the study will help further understand the diseases and explore potential therapy and treatment techniques. It will take place at the Speech and Hearing Center located in Monroe Hall on the campus of ESU. The length of the study varies depending on how many components of the study the participant chooses to complete. The study is free of charge and open to the public.
