Earlier this month, East Stroudsburg University senior Emma Beaston, a psychology major from Harrisburg, Pa., was a Collegiate Division finalist and tied for the Wild Card Award at the 23rd Annual tecBRIDGE Business Plan Competition. Beaston won $2,500 for her company, NeuroView.

NeuroView advances sports safety through innovative concussion detection using smart eyewear technology. The NeuroView glasses pair with a mobile app to deliver real-time, data-driven concussion assessments.

The annual awards event, celebrating entrepreneurship and innovation among high school students, collegiate teams, and early-stage entrepreneurs from Northeastern Pennsylvania, took place at the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., on May 1.

The Wild Card Winners are chosen exclusively by the audience through “tecBUCKS” votes. Beaston tied with Hunter Wesolowski, a Misericordia University student who co-founded Hunting Positivity, an AI-driven social platform that promotes uplifting content. The two wild card winners each received $2,500.

ESU students have a strong record of achievement at tecBRIDGE competitions.
