East Stroudsburg University to Host Poetry Reading

Award winning poet Catherine Barnett will visit East Stroudsburg University on Thursday, April 21 to share and discuss her poetry. Barnett is the author of three books of poetry, Into Perfect Spheres Such Holes are Pierced, The Game of Boxes, which won the James Laughlin Award from the Academy of American Poets, and Human Hours. Her honors include a Whiting Award and a Guggenheim Fellowship. She is a member of the core faculty of New York University’s creative writing program, a Distinguished Lecturer at Hunter College, and an independent editor in New York City.
The Catherine Barnett Poetry Reading will be held in Beers Lecture Hall at 4 p.m. The event is sponsored by ESU’s student-edited literary magazine, Calliope, the English Department, and the College of Arts and Sciences.
