Equestrian Team Members Awarded

Five members of East Stroudsburg University’s Equestrian team have been named to the All-American Academic team by the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association.
Three students were named to the first team for Equestrians with a 3.8 grade point average or higher, and two students were named to the second team for Equestrians with a 3.5-3.8 grade point average.
The first team ESU Equestrians are Victoria Gross, a junior majoring in communication sciences and disorders from Dover, Pa.; Kylee Nicholas, a senior majoring in nursing from Watsontown, Pa.; and Janeth Valdivia, a senior majoring in psychology from Bangor, Pa.
The second team ESU Equestrians are Miranda Clark, a freshman majoring in nursing from Cresco, Pa.; and Ashley Rinkus, a senior majoring in nursing from East Stroudsburg, Pa.
ESU’s Equestrian team finished its 19th season placing ninth in regionals on March 30 at Palermo Show Stables in Bedminster, N.J. Rinkus was named caption of the year at the regional banquet.
