ESU Announces Keynote Speaker for LGBTQ History Month Celebration

East Stroudsburg University’s Gender and Sexuality Center and the Center for Multicultural Affairs and Inclusive Education has announced that Nu’Rodney Prad will be the LGBTQ History Month Keynote Speaker during a virtual event to celebrate LGBTQ History Month. Prad is the director of student engagement at Temple University for the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy, and Leadership. With more than 13 years of experience in the field of diversity and social justice education, he will be speaking on the topic of intersectionality within the current era of social justice and social movements. A native of Montgomery, Ala., Prad earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in college student personnel from the University of Central Arkansas. In his current role at Temple, Prad works directly with campus partners to lecture, facilitate programs and host dialogues on issues of social justice and shares views on diversity on an intersectional level with an emphasis on race, gender, religion and sexuality. He also represents students before the university conduct board and also acts as chair officer for violations while also providing oversight of Temple’s Gender and Sexuality Resources Office, Diversity Peer Program, and Marketing and Communications, Equity, Advocacy and Leadership. Prad also is an active member and an invited speaker for the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity, training facilitators to navigate through difficult dialogues.
