ESU Announces Panel Discussion on the Upcoming Presidential Election

Faculty members from East Stroudsburg University’s political science and economics department and education department will host The US Presidential Election: A Panel Discussion on Monday, September 16 from 5 – 7 p.m. in Beers Lecture Hall. The panel discussion, which is open to the public at no cost, can also be streamed on the ESU Live Events webpage.
ESU professors of political science, Dr. Johan Eliasson, Dr. Kenneth Mash and Dr. Ko Mishima, and assistant professor of professional and secondary education, Dr. Donna-Marie T. Cole-Malott, will be the panelists. Political science professor and chair of ESU’s political science and economics department, Dr. Samuel Quainoo, will be the panel moderator and present questions to ESU panelists during the session.
“The goal of this event is to help inform students, faculty, staff, and the community at large, about the U.S. Presidential Election. We will discuss the election and how the campaigns and election results will impact American society,” said Dr Quainoo.
The panel will discuss topics including proposed policies of the candidates, each of their chances in the coming election, the transition of power to a new administration, and the possible changes Americans will see depending on the election results.
