During the annual homecoming tailgate on October 11, East Stroudsburg University’s Department of Athletic Training concluded its 50th anniversary celebration with a gathering of students and faculty who have been a part of the program through the decades.
The program’s founding members, John Thatcher, Lois Wagner and Mert Shane, were present during the Homecoming Tailgate where they were honored for their vision for the athletic training program.
ESU’s athletic training department has held social gatherings, a pickleball tournament, and a golf tournament throughout 2025 to celebrate its milestone year.
