East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania decks the halls a little early this year as students, faculty, staff and community members stop by the front entrance of Stroud Hall to sign an 8′ X 20′ holiday card on Tuesday, November 6.
ESU President Marcia G. Welsh, Ph.D., was on hand during lunchtime to serve cookies and hot chocolate to participants.
“It was wonderful to see our campus community come together for something so fun and festive,” said Welsh.
“The card signing also gave me a wonderful opportunity to meet more students, faculty and staff and to see everyone at their best.”
ESU’s card will be featured in a holiday video greeting that will be posted on the university’s website and YouTube channel sometime after Thanksgiving.
It will also be sent electronically in lieu of a paper greeting card as another sustainable initiative being taken by ESU.
The video will include clips of individuals signing the card, offering holiday greetings, singing and having fun.
