ESU Celebrates Arbor Day

East Stroudsburg University’s environmental club invites the community to campus to celebrate Arbor Day on Friday, April 26.
A tree, donated by the Monroe County Garden Club, will be planted outside the Henry A. Ahnert Jr. Alumni Center at 9:15 a.m. Tours of the ESU Arboretum, led by Carol Hillestad of the Brodhead Watershed Association, will begin after the tree planting and run until noon.
Prior to the event, the ESU environmental club, Monroe County Garden Club, and Brodhead Watershed Association will be joined by the East Stroudsburg Shade Tree Commission, the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau, and Senator Mario Scavello, for a live radio broadcast on Pocono 96.7 from 6-9 a.m. The broadcast will take place on the lawn of Warren E. ’55 & Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center.
