Brown, student conduct administrator, co-authored a chapter in a book, “Bridging the Divide Between Bible and Practical Theology” published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. The book focuses on closing the divide between the so-called ‘practical’ and ‘classical’ disciplines in seminary curricula. Brown’s chapter, Digging Below the Surface: Uncovering Macroaggressions as an Act of Atonement, was written with Deborah A. Appler, a professor at Moravian Theological Seminary. The chapter addresses social justice and intercultural concerns related to marginalized groups and their intersection with the Hebrew Bible and pastoral counseling. “Bridging the Divide Between Bible and Practical Theology” can be purchased on Cambridge’s website.
