The Library Advisory Committee of East Stroudsburg University will host its second annual Authors’ Forum event, “From Idea to Published Book,” in honor of three ESU professors who will present their published books Wednesday, February 12, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.
During the event — Sandra Eckard, Ph.D., associate professor of English; Shannon Frystak, Ph.D., associate professor of history; and Charles Warner, Ph.D., professor of communication studies — will discuss their production process, including how they developed their ideas and what it took to get to the finished projects. They will also touch on their inspiration and individual writing processes.
The authors and their works are: Eckard, “The Ties that Bind: Storytelling as a Teaching Technique in Composition;” Frystak, “Our Minds on Freedom: Women and the Struggle for Black Equality in Louisiana, 1924-1967;” and Warner, “The Team America Loves to Hate: Why Baseball Fans Despise the New York Yankees.”
The event will be in the reception center of the University Center and is open to ESU students, faculty and staff members at no cost. If you plan on attending this event or if you have any questions contact, Gavin Moir, Ph.D., associate professor of exercise science at gmoir@esu.edu.
