East Stroudsburg University’s football team was among hundreds of volunteers who participated in the third annual “Pick Up the Poconos Day” on Saturday, September 26, 2020.
The Warriors student-athletes and coaching staff, including head coach Jimmy Terwilliger ’07, assisted with picking up discarded trash, removing hundreds of bags of refuse from area roadways and public spaces, helping to make the Poconos clean and green.
Volunteers in all four counties of the Poconos (Monroe, Carbon, Pike and Wayne) participated in coordination with the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau.
“I’m really thankful for the opportunity to give back to the community,” said Terwilliger. “Let’s do everything we can to keep this community clean and beautiful!”
