ESU Graduates Commissioned as Second Lieutenants in U.S. Army

Three students who graduated from East Stroudsburg University in May 2025 were recently commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.
A commissioning ceremony was held at the University of Scranton for ROTC graduates from area universities.
The ESU students are Emma Lawson, a native of Milanville, Pa., who earned a bachelor’s degree in biology; Andrew Weaver, a native of Tamiment, Pa., who earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting; and Kyran Bryson, a native of Bronx, N.Y., who earned a bachelor’s degree in political science.
