ESU Hosts Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania’s art + design department will host the Student Art Association Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition from March 23 to April 16 in the Madelon Powers Gallery.
Entries will include a wide range of artistic media, including paintings, prints, photographs, drawings, 3-D pieces, and mixed media pieces. All current ESU undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to submit works for possible inclusion in the exhibit.
Edward Evans, owner and director of Gallery 705 in Stroudsburg will be this year’s juror. Mr. Evans’ paintings are in private and museum collections worldwide and he has taught at Southwest Minnesota State University.
The exhibition is being organized by the Student Art Association, a student organization that provides cultural opportunities for the campus and community. Prizes will be awarded for the top three entries and for the best three-dimensional piece in the exhibit.
A reception for the artists and award ceremony will be held Wednesday, March 25 from 4-6 p.m. in the gallery. Both the exhibit and reception are open to the public at no cost.
Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
