Earlier this month, East Stroudsburg University’s College of Business and Management (COBM) hosted the 2025 Region 28 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Workshop. The workshop, held on ESU’s campus, included students from Easton, Nazareth, Northampton, and Lehigh Career & Technical Institute school districts, and was themed “Navigating Your Future: Leadership in a Dynamic World.”

The workshop included opening remarks from Sylvester Williams, JD, Dean of the College of Business and Management, and breakout sessions lead by COBM faculty. Carol Dimopoulos, Ed.D., and Robert Thomas, assistant professors of business management, led groups on entrepreneurship and accounting, and Edward Arner, Ed.D., assistant professor of sport management and Yong Ju, Ph.D., assistant professor of hospitality, recreation, and tourism, led a session on sports and hospitality.

“Having this group of future business leaders on campus gave the participating students insight into ESU and the College of Business and Management as well as career pathways in various area of the business industry,” said Dean Williams. “Students from our Hospitality Special Events class planned and executed the day’s events which included a campus tour and a chance to attend a hospitality career expo taking place at the same time.”
