Any professionals interested in honing their proposal writing skills should plan to attend a workshop at East Stroudsburg University on November 9 at 10:30 a.m. The public is invited to this free proposal writing workshop, which will be held in ESU’s Hoeffner Science and Technology Center, Room 146.
Jeanette Norton, community outreach manager for the Foundation Center in Washington, D.C., will present the workshop and training session. The purpose of the workshop is to provide attendees with an overview of how to write standard project proposals to a foundation. Participants will learn the basic elements of a proposal, the do’s and don’ts of writing and submitting a proposal, and how to follow up whether the answer is yes or no.
This session will also include an overview of how to search the Foundation Center’s database: Foundation Directory Online.
East Stroudsburg University is a Funding Information Network Partner of the Foundation Center, and has served in this capacity since 2009. The Foundation Center is a nonprofit agency that is the leading source of information about philanthropy worldwide.
