Men’s Basketball Recognized by East Stroudsburg Borough Council

East Stroudsburg University’s men’s basketball program was recognized by the East Stroudsburg Borough Council on Tuesday night in honor of its historic 2017-18 season, which included the first NCAA Division II Atlantic Region championship in school history.
The Warriors, led by head coach Jeff Wilson ’86, also won their third PSAC championship in the last seven years and finished with a record of 27-6, the second-most wins in school history.
ESU won 13 straight games culminating with an 84-72 win over Shippensburg in the regional championship game on March 13.
The season ended in the national quarterfinals in the Elite 8 in Sioux Falls, S.D. on March 20.
