ESU Officers of Gamma Xi Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, The International Honor Society in Education, Attend Kappa Delta Pi Biennial Convocation in Dallas, Texas

East Stroudsburg University officers of the Gamma Xi Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor Society in Education, attended the Kappa Delta Pi Biennial Convocation in Dallas, Texas, from October 24-26.
Student representatives included president Ashley Parker, a senior majoring in special education and early childhood education from Shohola, Pa.; vice president, Kara Predatsch, a senior majoring in special education and early childhood education from Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; secretary, Rachel Belles, a junior majoring in early childhood education from Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; treasurer, Amanda Mazzella, a senior majoring in early childhood education from Morganville, N.J.; membership chair, Katelyn Scheck, a senior majoring in special education and early childhood education from New Windsor, N.Y.; foundations representative, Kristina Allan, a junior majoring in rehabilitative and human services from Colonia, N.J.; and historian, Alexa Cospito, a senior majoring in English from Toms River, N.J.
Parker represented the chapter as the delegate to the KDP business meeting and Predatsch served as the alternate delegate. All of the officers attended numerous presentations offered by outstanding educators from around the world. The Laureate Panel featured educational experts, including Linda Darling-Hammond, Ed.D., Stanford University; James Banks, L.H.D., University of Washington; Michael W. Apple, L.H.D., University of Wisconsin; and Sonia Nieto, Ed.D., University of Massachusetts.
