ESU Plans to Take Back the Night
East Stroudsburg University students, faculty, and staff will join Women’s Resources of Monroe County at the annual Take Back the Night march and rally on Tuesday, April 16. Take Back the Night is designed to raise awareness about sexual and domestic violence, support survivors, and empower men and women to feel safe at night, while also advocating for bystander intervention. Participants are asked to meet at the Dansbury Depot, 5 S. Kistler St., East Stroudsburg at 5:30 p.m. The march will begin at 6 p.m. making a stop a at Lehigh Valley Health Network – Pocono for a moment of silence for the survivors who were treated at the facility. The march will continue to ESU and end with a rally at 6:30 p.m. on Mitterling Field, A2 on the campus map. The rally will feature speakers from Women’s Resources of Monroe County and ESU faculty, staff and students.
