The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at East Stroudsburg University is seeking participants for a research study on the effects Rheumatic Disease and Inflammatory Arthritis have on hearing, cognition, and language. Volunteers will be asked to complete a survey and have the option of participating in a comprehensive hearing assessment and/or comprehensive language and cognitive-linguistic assessment. Participation would involve one to two sessions, each of which is 45 minutes to two hours long, depending on the number of components of the study in which participants choose to participate. Volunteers with and without Rheumatic Disease/Inflammatory Arthritis are needed.

The research study, which will help further understand the diseases and explore potential therapy and treatment techniques, will take place at the Speech and Hearing Center located in Monroe Hall on the campus of ESU.
