East Stroudsburg University invites community members to campus for its annual Family Weekend activities, Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28. The weekend is designed to bring campus and community together and introduce students’ family members to the campus and surrounding Pocono Mountains region. Families can learn more about their students’ lives at ESU, as well as participate in fun events held by ESU and the local community.
The weekend will host events on campus for all ages and interests. Legacy families are invited to a lunch reception with President Kenneth Long for the annual Pinning Ceremony and their induction into the ESU Legacy Program while first generation families are invited to spend time getting to know the campus and surrounding communities. ESU Family Weekend kicks off with Pocono Latin Fest on Friday evening on College Circle and a volleyball match in Koehler Fieldhouse. Saturday offers the Schisler Museum tours, ESU women’s soccer, the Warrior Bash will have sand art, stuff-a-plush, baby goats and more, and ESU’s Family Amazing Race Experience will have families competing around campus. ESU football kicks off at 6:05 p.m. on Saturday.
