ESU Women’s Rugby Team Head to Playoffs

The East Stroudsburg University women’s rugby team qualified to compete in the National Collegiate Rugby regional playoffs in Culpepper Va. November 11 -13.

The ESU team, coached by alumni Angela Horner, won the division playoffs defeating Shippensburg 70-12 and York College 46-15.

During the championship match against York College, Sofia DiFilippo, a senior majoring in physical education teacher education from Hawthorne, N.J., won the MVP award for the championship match.
