ESU’s Empty Bowls Raised $1,600

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania’s presented a check of $1,600 to the East Stroudsburg Salvation Army Food Bank, which was raised through the Empty Bowls fundraiser. Over the last four years of Empty Bowls, students raised more than $5,000 in donations to fight hunger locally. The Empty Bowls concept is a well-known national grassroots initiative to raise awareness of hunger in the local community and around the world. ESU organizations and groups that participated include the Hotel Restaurant Club, Club Management, Event Planning, and Ceramics Class. Robert McMullin, Ed.D., professor of hotel, restaurant & tourism management, has coordinated this event for the last four years.
