ESU’s Go Green Committee Honored by Greater Pocono Chamber of Commerce

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Go Green Committee has been honored with the Environmental Committee Save Our Planet Award from the Greater Pocono Chamber of Commerce. East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Go Green Committee has been honored with the Environmental Committee Save Our Planet Award from the Greater Pocono Chamber of Commerce.

The Save Our Planet Awards recognize local businesses, non-profit organizations, institutions, groups and individuals for their commitment to protecting or improving Monroe County’s environment. ESU’s Residence Life GO GREEN Committee’s continued commitment to sound environmental practices is certainly worthy of recognition, the Chamber said in a statement.

Awards will be distributed at 8 a.m. Friday, April 25, at The Chateau Resort & Conference Center. The event is open to the public. However, tickets are $20 per person and registration is required by Tuesday, April 22. For more information about the ceremony, call Miriam Conway at the Chamber office at 570-421-4433.
