East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania’s Student Senate will host Community on the Quad on Saturday, April 26, 2014, from noon to 4 p.m. This year’s theme, “In the Jungle” will feature live animals, inflatables, music, games and food.

Many ESU clubs and student-run organizations will have booths at the event. In addition, local vendors expected to be present are Paradise Tanning, LizTech Jewelry and Pocono Medical Center.

The day will be filled with countless, fun activities, including caricatures, wax hands, face painting and a green screen background for photos. Live music will be provided by Blaise Delfino, an ESU senior from Bethlehem, Pa., majoring in speech-language pathology, from noon until 1 p.m.; Anomaly from 1 to 3 p.m. and WESS, 90.3 FM, ESU’s student-operated radio station, from 3 to 4 p.m.

Because complimentary food will be served BBQ-style on the Quad, Dansbury Commons, the university’s dining hall, will be closed.

This event is open to the public. In the event of inclement weather, activities will be moved to Dansbury Commons. For more information, contact Melissa Ciment, student senate chair of special events, at mciment@live.esu.edu.
