Pocono Medical Center, ESU Launch Household Survey for Community Health Needs Assessment of the Poconos

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU), in partnership with Pocono Medical Center (PMC), is completing a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) of the Poconos.
The goal of the CHNA is to assess the overall health status and health needs of the local community, what health care services are actively being used and what actions need to be taken in the future to address these needs. The CHNA needs input from the community in order to get a better understanding of the specific health concerns. In order to obtain the community’s input, ESU and PMC have launched a household health survey open to all residents of Monroe County. Through the survey, residents of the Poconos have the opportunity to provide their views about the health of the region. The anonymous survey asks residents to provide information about the health of their families. After completing the survey, interested participants may enter their names to win a $50 gift card to a local grocery store. You can access the survey at www.esu.edu/phshealthsurvey.
The results will be presented to the community by Pocono Medical Center later on this year.
