East Stroudsburg University Foundation and ESU President Marcia G. Welsh, Ph.D., hosted the university’s 125th Anniversary Celebration at Stroudsmoor Country Inn on Thursday, October 25.
The event intended to bring alumni, friends and the campus and regional community members together to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the institution.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the President’s Distinguished Medals to Robert M. Moses, William B. Cramer, Esq., and the R. Dale and Frances M. Hughes Foundation.
The awards themselves are unique in that they were generated using a 3-D medal printer and state-of-the-art technology now available at East Stroudsburg University.
The shape of the medals replicate the University’s 125th Anniversary logo and feature a garnet gemstone, representing one of the school colors (red).
Proceeds from the evening benefit student scholarships.
