As part of East Stroudsburg University’s Provost’s Colloquium Series, Eugene Galperin, Ph.D., associate professor of mathematics and freelance conference interpreter working for the U.S. Department of State, will present “E-Government and Digital Society in Estonia.” The presentation will take place on Wednesday, November 16, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 117 of Stroud Hall.
“Estonia is rarely mentioned in the news headlines,” said Galperin. “Yet its cultural and technological impact is far greater than its territorial size would suggest.”
The presentation explores Estonia’s culture, history, and contributions to the development of modern democracy – its electronic governance systems.
The program is the sixth event of the ESU Provost’s Colloquium Series, which aims to provide an intellectual experience promoting dialogue among ESU faculty, staff, students, and community. The presentation is free and open to the public.
