East Stroudsburg University’s Provost’s Colloquium Series, an intellectual experience that promotes dialogue among ESU faculty, staff, students, and community, continues with a presentation by Christopher Warburton, Ph.D., adjunct assistant professor of economics. The presentation “Uneasy Coexistence: Profit Maximization and Affordable Healthcare in the U.S.” will take place on Wednesday, October 23 at 5:30 p.m. in Beers Lecture Hall. The lecture is open to the public at no cost.

Dr. Warburton will discuss his research findings on healthcare in America. His research evaluates market and policy responses to the healthcare problem in the U.S., and examines pricing mechanisms, medical malfeasance, and the judicial and legislative valuations of human lives. Intriguing topics he will cover include, putting a value on human lives, classifying groups of people for federal assistance, and analysis for improvement about how public policies and healthcare markets interact.
