Pocono Raceway announced East Stroudsburg University the winner of the 2019 Pocono Raceway College Tour. ESU’s sport management students planned an event on campus earlier this month for NASCAR Xfinity driver Justin Haley and representatives from Pocono Raceway.

As winners, the sport management students will receive a $500 donation to the sport management club, tickets to sit in the Sky Box during the Pocono Green 250 Recycled by J.P. Mascaro and Sons NASCAR Xfinity Race at Pocono Raceway on Saturday, June 1, access to the pre-race NASCAR Xfinity Series driver introductions high-five line and the College Tour Trophy. ESU also won the competition in 2018.

The Pocono Raceway College Tour is a “3 Turn” competition for marketing, sport management, and business management clubs from four regional universities to focus on areas of marketing, research and analysis, and event planning.

ESU competed against The University of Scranton, Centenary University, and Kutztown University. The three runner up schools each received a $250 donation to their respective clubs and are invited to attend the June 1 Sons NASCAR Xfinity Race.
