Staff from the Student Activity Association (SAA) at East Stroudsburg University partnered with the Monroe County Meals on Wheels last month.
The staff spent two days delivering over 165 meals to several homes in Monroe County. Traditionally SAA supports a charity each holiday season with monetary donations.
This year they wanted to do more. “We wanted to have a bigger impact,” Joe Akob, executive director of SAA, said.
“It gave us an opportunity to have a valuable, personal experience and directly connect with the community.”
