Weekly Construction Update (12/11)

Following is a summary of the planned construction activity for the week of March 19, 2012
Monroe Hall Renovation Project: – (Project Manager – John Bloshinski II jbloshinski@esu.edu Tel: 3631).
Installation of new exterior trim continues around the perimeter of the building. New gutter installation continues. New north entry porch work continues. The light fixture delivery occurred and installation of light fixtures continues on the second and third floors. Tile installation continues on the third floor toilet rooms; when completed the work will move to the second floor. Floor preparation to begin on the third floor in rooms designated to receive carpet; carpet installation to follow. Third floor interior doors to be installed this week. Wall and window primer paint continues on the first floor. Metal stud framing and drywall installation continues on the ground floor. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough ins continue on the ground floor. Elevator installation continues and is expected to be completed this week. Metal stud work to begin in the stepped auditorium. New gas line work expected to begin on the north side of the building and run to the new emergency generator in the southeast corner of the building.
Expected Impact: Noise from deliveries and exterior work.
Marguerite St. Parking Lot: – (Project Manager – John Bloshinski II jbloshinski@esu.edu Tel: 3631)
Concrete sidewalk installation continues this week on the site across from the existing parking lot on Gwendolyn Street to create an additional parking lot for 102 cars.
Expected Impact: Noise, movement of construction vehicles around the site and possible dust.
