WESS Wins Two Broadcasting Awards

East Stroudsburg University’s radio station WESS was recognized by the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) with two first place awards at its annual conference held March 1-3, in New York City.
Christopher Lee, a junior majoring in digital media technologies from Blakeslee, Pa. won first place for “best use of video in the studio” for a video he produced for the show WESS SESH featuring artist and poet Kafar Myers.
Aaron Oldfield, a senior majoring in communication studies from East Stroudsburg, Pa., won first place for “best public service announcement,” for a PSA titled Suicide Prevention.
