East Stroudsburg University invites the general public to attend an original sky show titled \u201cAutumn Skies\u201d and a feature show, \u201cBlack Holes,\u201d at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2014. The shows will be held in the McMunn Planetarium in the Warren E. ’55 and Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center.<\/p>\n
The original sky show, \u201cAutumn Skies,\u201d will be shown on the state-of-the-art Spitz SciDome projection system. It will be a traditional sky show describing what can be seen in the heavens this month. The feature show,\u00a0\u201cBlack Holes\u201d explores the dark world of a black hole and its life in space.<\/p>\n
The program is open to the general public. Tickets are $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for children under 12 or seniors over 60. Another planetarium show is scheduled for November 7, 2014. Reservations for this event will be taken the Monday prior to the show. For those interested in attending planetarium events, reservations are available now. Programs are suitable for children but be advised that the planetarium will be quite dark during the sky show and feature show.<\/p>\n
