This year\u2019s theme will call on alumni, students, and other visitors to join the ESU community in a spirited celebration of ESU. Homecoming highlights include the debut of \u201cSeussical the Musical\u201d and a home football game against the Kutztown University Golden Bears at Eiler-Martin Stadium on October 25. For more information and to pre-register, contact Jill Harper at 570-422-2978 or <a href=\"mailto:jharper@esu.edu\">jharper@esu.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, October 20<br \/>\nSpirit Kick Off<br \/>\n11 a.m. &#8211; 3 p.m., Hoeffner Science and Technology Center Lawn<\/strong><br \/>\nThe ESU family challenges you to grab your megaphone and show your spirit \u2014 loudly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>T-shirt Exchange<br \/>\n11 a.m. &#8211; 3 p.m., Hoeffner Science and Technology Center Lawn<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is an opportunity to trade in the old for the new. Take the shirt off your back, and grab someone else\u2019s. Bring an old t-shirt you own, and get a homecoming t-shirt in return. All donated shirts will go to the Salvation Army.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, October 22<br \/>\n7:30 p.m., Smith McFarland Theater<br \/>\nESU Theatre Department Presents: Seussical the Musical<\/strong><br \/>\nESU students will lead the audience into a lively and imaginative fantasy world in a musical romp that will delight the entire family as they take on the roles of Dr. Seuss\u2019s favorites.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Drag Show \u201cThe Great Dragsby\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>8 &#8211; 10 p.m., Keystone Room<\/strong><br \/>\nJoin Sharon Husbands and her crew of professional and student Queens and Kings for a fabulously entertaining evening of glitz and glamour! Help the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Ally Program Center and ESU\u2019s LGBTQA student organization, PRIDE, raise funds to benefit Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) of Monroe County. Tickets will be $2 and available, in advance, from the LGBTQA Program Center in Shawnee Residence Hall, or at the door. If interested in VIP seating, the tickets will be $5.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, October 23<br \/>\nMovie: Hook<br \/>\n7 &#8211; 9 p.m., Pocono Community Theater<\/strong><br \/>\nEnjoy a free showing of Hook! Audience members may bring the megaphones they receive at Monday\u2019s Spirit Kick Off to the theater to be filled with free popcorn and a canned good or pantry item to receive a free soda. Pantry items will be donated to the Salvation Army Food Bank.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, October 24<br \/>\nRemembrance Day Program<br \/>\n1 &#8211; 2 p.m., Keystone Room<\/strong><br \/>\nESU\u2019s seventh Remembrance Day program will honor the memories of university students, faculty, staff, and alumni who passed away during the 2013-2014 academic year (August 26, 2013- August 24, 2014). This year\u2019s program will include readings, musical selections, and reflections by ESU students.\u00a0 This event is open to the public at no cost.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schisler Museum of Wildlife and Natural History Open House*<br \/>\n6 &#8211; 9 p.m., Warren E. \u201955 and Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center<\/strong><br \/>\nExplore the all new Schisler Museum of Wildlife and Natural History, featuring an extensive collection of taxidermied game animals collected from throughout North America donated by Arthur and Fannie Schisler \u201962. Tours will occur every half hour.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESU Planetarium Show: Autumn Skies*<br \/>\nShows at 7:30 and 8:15 p.m., Warren E. \u201955 and Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center<\/strong><br \/>\nBe mesmerized by this expansive, full-dome video and sound presentation titled \u201cAutumn Skies\u201d on the state-of-the-art Spitz SciDome projection system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warrior Spirit Night\/Bonfire<br \/>\n7:30 &#8211; 9:30 p.m., Rugby Field behind Dansbury<\/strong><br \/>\nEnjoy a night of Warrior Spirit, including student performances, giveaways and s\u2019mores around a bonfire as ESU gets ready to face off the Kutztown Bears. The homecoming king and queen will be announced at the bonfire.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, October 25<br \/>\nWarrior Block Party<br \/>\n11 a.m. &#8211; 2 p.m., Gated parking lot behind Rosenkrans Hall<\/strong><br \/>\nIt\u2019s time to party like a Warrior. Join student organizations for music, games, prizes, food and fun!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schisler Museum of Wildlife and Natural History Open House*<br \/>\n11 a.m. &#8211; 4 p.m., Warren E. \u201955 and Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center<\/strong><br \/>\nTours will occur every half hour.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Warrior March into Eiler-Martin Stadium<br \/>\n2 p.m., College Circle<\/strong><br \/>\nMarch into Eiler-Martin Stadium to cheer on the Warriors! The march will start in the circle, followed by a left on Prospect Street, left onto Centre Street, and it will end at the Stadium. The march will feature some campus all-stars, including President Welsh, distinguished alumni, and the homecoming king and queen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESU Planetarium Show: \u201cPassport to the Universe\u201d*<br \/>\nShows at 12, 1 and 2 p.m., Warren E. \u201955 and Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center<\/strong><br \/>\nBe mesmerized by this expansive, full-dome video and sound presentation entitled \u201cPassport to the Universe\u201d on the state-of-the-art Spitz SciDome projection system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cBattle of the Bears\u201d Whiteout Game<br \/>\nWarrior Football, ESU vs. Kutztown<br \/>\n3:05 &#8211; 6 p.m., Eiler-Martin Stadium<\/strong><br \/>\nCheer on the Warriors as they take on the Kutztown Golden Bears. Halftime features recognition of the Athletic Hall of Fame inductees and a marching band performance. General admission tickets for the game are $10. Tickets for reserved chair back seating area in front of the Eiler-Martin Stadium press box are $15, and tickets for seniors ages 65 or older and children under 12 are $5.This game is a whiteout.
