{"id":14287,"date":"2016-05-10T10:45:07","date_gmt":"2016-05-10T14:45:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/quantumnew.esu.edu\/insider\/?p=14287"},"modified":"2016-06-02T14:27:35","modified_gmt":"2016-06-02T18:27:35","slug":"esu-students-meet-middle-school-pen-pals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/quantum.esu.edu\/insider\/esu-students-meet-middle-school-pen-pals\/","title":{"rendered":"Honor Society Students Meet Middle School Pen Pals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Six student members of East Stroudsburg University\u2019s (ESU) Sigma Pi Epsilon Delta honor society made a trip to visit their pen pals from Bethlehem Area School District Northeast Middle School (NMS) in April after a year of correspondence.<\/p>\n<p>Coordinated by NMS Learning Support Teacher Ms. Lisa Craven and Dr. Caroline DiPipi-Hoy, associate professor of special education and rehabilitation at ESU, the program allowed students from both groups to socialize, play games, and talk about their letter-exchange experiences.<\/p>\n<p>This is the fourth year that ESU students have participated in this initiative.<\/p>\n<p>Sigma Pi Epsilon Delta is a Special Education and Rehabilitation Honor Society at ESU that reaches out to support individuals with disabilities.
