{"id":1434,"date":"2011-10-28T07:59:24","date_gmt":"2011-10-28T12:59:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www4.esu.edu\/insider\/?p=1434"},"modified":"2011-10-28T07:59:24","modified_gmt":"2011-10-28T12:59:24","slug":"esus-bands-to-present-salute-to-veterans-at-eighth-annual-band-o-rama","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/quantum.esu.edu\/insider\/esus-bands-to-present-salute-to-veterans-at-eighth-annual-band-o-rama\/","title":{"rendered":"ESUs Bands To Present Salute To Veterans At Eighth Annual Band-O-Rama"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>East Stroudsburg University Bands will again present a Salute to Veterans at its eighth annual <em>Band-O-Rama<\/em> Sunday, November 13 at 7 p.m. at the Notre Dame High School auditorium, 60 Spangenburg Ave., East Stroudsburg.<\/p>\n<p>One of the featured works will <em>Lonely Beach<\/em> by James Barnes, commemorating the D Day landing on the beaches of Normandy in World War II. The Jazz Ensemble will present music of the Vietnam Era and pay tribute to emergency service professionals with <em>Jazz Police<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The Warrior Marching Band and Color Guard will present stand favorites from this season of Warrior football featuring both groups and the ESU Cheerleaders. For the finale, all the bands will return to the stage to perform the stirring <em>America the Beautiful<\/em> by Carmen Dragon.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Band-O-Rama<\/em> is a venture designed to have all the band ensembles perform at the same concert. All of the musical groups are directed by Dr. Otis C.
