The Schisler Museum of Wildlife & Natural History and McMunn Planetarium at East Stroudsburg University has set its fall hours. The facility is open to the public on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. \u2013 3 p.m. The facility is reserved for pre-registered group visits on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both the museum and planetarium are included in a single admission price.<\/p>\n
Housed in the Warren E. \u201955 and Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center, the state-of-the-art planetarium and world-class museum offer something for everyone. Nearly all of the museum\u2019s 130-plus taxidermy exhibits were collected and donated by East Stroudsburg University alumni Arthur \u201962 and Fannie Greene \u201962 Schisler. The museum also boasts a 300-gallon aquarium and insects from around the globe. The McMunn Planetarium is named in honor of ESU supporters and alumni Charles A. \u201cTony\u201d \u201969 and Patricia Lythgoe \u201968 McMunn.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe museum and planetarium are truly meant to be a place of excitement for explorers of all ages. We want to invite the community to experience the wonder of discovery at ESU,\u201d said Catherine Klingler, curator.<\/p>\n
Admission for the museum and planetarium is $6 for adults; $4 for senior citizens and children ages 3-17; and free for children 2 and under and ESU students with ID.
