Details will follow when a new date is selected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Laughing Wild<\/em>, a comedy by Tony-Award winning playwright Christopher Durang, has been selected to be the second in a series of staged readings being presented through a partnership between the Pocono Mountains\u2019 Theater Company and East Stroudsburg University\u2019s Department of Theatre.<\/p>\n<p>The comedy will be presented Saturday, October 22 at 7 p.m. in Smith-McFarland Theatre of ESU\u2019s Fine and Performing Arts Center, Normal and Marguerite streets, East Stroudsburg, Pa.<\/p>\n<p><em>Laughing Wild <\/em>gives the audience different perspectives of two troubled people trying to live in the chaos of New York City. A hysterical and unusual piece, the comedy examines people\u2019s quest for happiness in a heightened reality.<\/p>\n<p>Durang, who won the 2013 Tony Award for <em>Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike<\/em>, is best known for the play <em>Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Talbott, artistic associate of Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, and the artistic director of the Lucille Lortel and NYIT Award-winning Rising Phoenix Rep, will direct the reading. The cast will feature Pamela Shaw and Brian Rueter.<\/p>\n<p>The reading is recommended for adults and mature high school students and is open to the public at no cost. There is a suggested donation of $5 per reading.<\/p>\n<p>Reservations for the reading are recommended, but not required.
