The Student Senate of East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU), in collaboration with ESU\u2019s Women\u2019s Center, the Musical Theatre Organization and Interfraternity Council, will host a Sexual Assault Awareness Walk on Tuesday, November 1, 2016. The walk will begin at the University Courtyard, located directly behind ESU\u2019s University Center on Normal Street in East Stroudsburg at 2:00 p.m., and will end at the University\u2019s Women\u2019s Center, 411 Normal Street.<\/p>\n
At the conclusion of the walk, there will be information tables and interactive exercises for participants, facilitated by ESU peer educators, students who are specifically trained to provide educational programs and outreach on responsible decision-making towards health, wellness, and safety topics including alcohol, drugs, sexual violence, sexually transmitted infections and stress management.\u00a0At 3:30 p.m., there will be an \u201cHonest Conversation,\u201d about relationship violence in ESU\u2019s Women\u2019s Center, facilitated by Sharon A. Brown, the Center\u2019s faculty coordinator.<\/p>\n
This initiative is in addition to other programming that occurs at ESU\u2019s Women\u2019s Center in April during Sexual Assault Awareness Month.<\/p>\n
