As part of East Stroudsburg University\u2019s Provost\u2019s Colloquium Series, Eugene Galperin, Ph.D., associate professor of mathematics and freelance conference interpreter working for the U.S. Department of State, will present \u201cE-Government and Digital Society in Estonia.\u201d The presentation will take place on Wednesday,\u00a0November 16, at\u00a05:30 p.m. in Room 117 of Stroud Hall.<\/p>\n
\u201cEstonia is rarely mentioned in the news headlines,\u201d said Galperin. \u201cYet its cultural and technological impact is far greater than its territorial size would suggest.\u201d<\/p>\n
The presentation explores Estonia\u2019s culture, history, and contributions to the development of modern democracy \u2013 its electronic governance systems.<\/p>\n
The program is the sixth event of the ESU Provost’s Colloquium Series, which aims to provide an intellectual experience promoting dialogue among ESU faculty, staff, students, and community. The presentation is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
