On Thursday, April 20, East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania will hold an Earth Day celebration event from noon to 4 p.m. on the main quad on campus. The theme for this year\u2019s event is \u201cClimate change – go green to save the blue.\u201d The afternoon will be filled with live music, guest speakers and trivia games.<\/p>\n
Just after the opening introductions for the day, at 12:10 p.m. Rob Howell, general manager of the historic Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort, will present \u201cEnvironmental responsibility in business and day-to-day life.\u201d At 1:20 p.m. Karen Boyle of the Monroe County Conservation District will present \u201cClimate Change and you – from ESU grad to Environmental Educator.\u201d The final presentation of the day will be \u201cAmphibians and climate change: Out of the frying pan and into the fire\u201d presented by Thomas LaDuke, Ph.D., associate professor of biology at ESU.<\/p>\n
Live music is scheduled between each presentation along with enviro-trivia, giveaways, and activity booths. This event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
