East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania invites community members to campus for, <\/em>its annual Family Weekend activities, Friday, September 22, through Sunday, September 24. This year\u2019s theme is A Weekend of Magic.<\/em> Family Weekend events are designed to welcome students\u2019 families to ESU and to familiarize them with the campus, businesses and activities within the greater Pocono region.<\/p>\n

The weekend will celebrate parents, grandparents, siblings and extended family with activities for all ages and interests. The Schisler Museum of Wildlife & Natural History and McMunn Planetarium will offer tours and shows, there will be craft stations, inflatables and face painting hosted by ESU Greek organizations. 3-D printing demonstrations by ESU students will take place at the ConFlux Makerspace at LizTech Jewelry, located on Crystal Street. The Partnership Passport<\/em>, back for a second year, is designed to engage the university with the local community. Participants will receive a printed Partnership Passport with instructions and details of local downtown East Stroudsburg businesses to visit. Families that get 10 businesses to stamp their passport will receive a prize. ESU will provide shuttles to downtown East Stroudsburg.<\/p>\n

A performance by magician Ran\u2019D Shine is set for Saturday, September 23 at 7 p.m. in Abeloff Center for Performing Arts. Shine has performed at the 44th<\/sup> Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C., in Capetown South Africa, and at college campuses across the United States. His performance at ESU is open to the community at no cost.<\/p>\n
