On Thursday, March 22 East Stroudsburg University will host the ESU Timeless Women Expo and Lecture. The event is hosted by ESU Feminist Alliance and co-sponsored by The Political Science Club, The ESU Chapter of the National Council of Negro Women, and the ESU Queens of Color Organization.<\/p>\n
The Expo will highlight women in various industries including biology, sports and politics \u2013 fields that are typically male dominated. Each participant in the expo will have a display table highlighting and celebrating women in their particular area of study and work.<\/p>\n
The lecture will be presented by Dr. Sue Mukhergee, assistant vice chancellor for educational intelligence for Pennsylvania\u2019s State System of Higher Education. The presentation, \u201cWomen in Pa.\u2019s 21st<\/sup> Century Workforce\u201d will provide data on the impact of women in Pennsylvania\u2019s workforce and discuss the requisite skills necessary to remain successful in the ever-changing workplace.<\/p>\n Dr. Mukhergee is commissioner for one of Governor Wolf\u2019s affinity groups, Asian American Pacific Islanders. She has also worked with the Pennsylvania First Lady\u2019s office and will have a greeting from Mrs. Wolf recognizing the essential work of women and the ESU Feminist Alliance.<\/p>\n The ESU Timeless Women Expo and Lecture will be held on the second floor of the University Center on ESU\u2019s campus. The Expo will begin at 6 p.m. in room 219. The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. in the student senate chambers. The expo and lecture are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
