Dr. Sockman, professor of professional and secondary education, Dr. Carducci, associate professor of mathematics, Dr. Clossey, associate professor of sociology, social work, and criminal justice, Dr. Batson-Magnuson, associate professor of communication sciences and disorders, Dr. White, professor of physical education, Wehmeyer, assistant professor of digital media technologies, Dr. Wells, assistant professor of English, and Rauch, Volunteers in Service to America, jointly wrote an article for the Journal of Excellence in College Teaching. The article, How Service Learning Experiences Promote the University\u2019s Strategic Mission, is a substantive and substantial article in which instructors from five disciplines implemented content-specific service projects and determined students\u2019 perceptions of their experience. How Service Learning Experiences Promote the University\u2019s Strategic Mission is available on the Journal of Excellence in College Teaching\u2019s database<\/a>.<\/p>\n Brown, student conduct administrator, co-authored a chapter in a book, \u201cBridging the Divide Between Bible and Practical Theology\u201d\u00a0published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. The book focuses on closing the divide between the so-called \u2018practical\u2019 and \u2018classical\u2019 disciplines in seminary curricula. Brown\u2019s chapter, Digging Below the Surface: Uncovering Macroaggressions as an Act of Atonement, was written with Deborah A. Appler, a professor at Moravian Theological Seminary.
