In April, East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania announced \u201cThe Book of Unknown Americans\u201d as its choice for the 2018-2019 One Book, One Campus program.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, November 7, 2018, Cristina Henriquez, author of \u201cThe Book of Unknown Americans,\u201d will come to ESU to take readers inside her book which features a story of star-crossed lovers and the trials and tribulations of the Rivera and Toro families. The book also takes a closer look at the men and women who come to the United States from all over Latin America to find a better way of life and a sense of home and belonging. Henriquez will share her inspiration for creating the book and perspectives on writing about a controversial topic relevant in today\u2019s society.<\/p>\n
Henriquez will give her presentation in the Abeloff Center for the Performing\u00a0Arts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for $30.
