Bomar, a master\u2019s degree candidate from East Stroudsburg, Pa., will be the graduate student speaker for East Stroudsburg University\u2019s winter commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 15, at 9:45 a.m. in Koehler Fieldhouse. This will be Bomar\u2019s second master\u2019s degree.<\/p>\n<p>Bomar is the Dean of Students at East Stroudsburg High School South. Prior to becoming Dean of Students, Bomar has held positions at JT Lambert Intermediate, Smithfield Elementary and East Stroudsburg High School North, all in the East Stroudsburg Area School District, as well as Hiram W. Dodd Elementary School and Louis E. Dieruff High School, in Allentown School District. Bomar graduated from Kutztown University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in sport management. In 2010 he earned a Master of Education in elementary education and a certificate from ESU.<\/p>\n<p>Bomar returned to the Master of Education program at ESU in 2016, this time with a focus on educational leadership and an administrative certificate. During his first enrollment at ESU, Bomar was an active member of campus, serving on the Latin American Association and African American Student Alliance, and helped bring Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity Inc. to ESU. He worked in the Office of Admissions and was a graduate assistant in the College of Education in the Field Experience and Partnership Office. \u201cWhen I received my first master\u2019s degree from ESU, so many doors opened for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During his second experience at ESU, Bomar assisted the Field Experience and Partnership Office during events for teachers. Following this December\u2019s graduation, he hopes to continue working with ESU to grow a partnership with the local school district to develop a teacher recruitment program.<\/p>\n<p>Bomar is a highly-organized professional whose attention to detail is a tremendous asset. He effectively demonstrates exemplary knowledge and skills in vision-building, curriculum, team-building and collaborative strategies. \u201cHe has the ability to confront the challenges of an administrator and I am confident he can meet the needs of a diverse student population and contribute to a professional environment,\u201d said Angelo Senese, Ed.D., instructor of professional and secondary education. \u201cI expect strong leadership, decision-making abilities, organization, and a tireless effort from Mr. Bomar to meet the challenges facing education.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Terrence R.
