Beyond her roles as an excellent student and a student leader on ESU\u2019s campus, Felicia Revero spent last summer as an intern in Los Angeles, Calif., working with well-known casting director Cathy Reinking . Reinking is best known for casting hit television shows such as Frasier<\/em> and Arrested Development<\/em>.<\/p>\n

While she found the internship experience rewarding and interesting, Felicia needed more.\u00a0 She added a second internship while in L.A. with a non-profit organization named A Window Between Worlds (AWBW), which uses art as a healing tool for victims of domestic violence.<\/p>\n

While maintaining a 3.5 grade point average, Felicia has also worked as an ESU orientation leader, a new student mentor and vice president of two student organizations \u2013 Stage II and Women for Awareness.\u00a0 She\u2019s also the proud recipient of the ESU Women\u2019s Studies Scholarship and was recently named the new student member of the university\u2019s Council of Trustees, representing her fellow students in one of the highest levels of leadership.<\/p>\n

I discovered my true passion through my work as an intern.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It was while working with AWBW, Felicia had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in all aspects of the organization.\u00a0 She attended training sessions, fundraisers, workshops and everything in between.\u00a0 Most importantly, she had the privilege of meeting and working directly with many survivors of domestic violence and was invited to participate in their art circle.<\/p>\n

Felicia intends to graduate from ESU in two years, and her hope is to return to L.A. and continue the invaluable work at AWBW where she hopes to lead and inspire others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
