The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at East Stroudsburg University is seeking participants for a research study on the impact of concussion on word-finding ability.<\/p>\n
We are seeking participants with and without a history of concussion. Participants must be between 18-24 years old and may not have a history of speech and language therapy, a history of learning disabilities, unaided hearing loss, or uncorrected vision.<\/p>\n
Volunteers will be asked to complete a survey, participate in a hearing screening and assessment regarding word-finding ability.<\/p>\n
The research study will help further understanding of the effects of one or more concussions on word-finding ability and will involve one 45-minute session at the Speech and Hearing Center located in Monroe Hall on the campus of ESU.<\/p>\n
